Making a referral

At Starley Hall, children and young people are referred through local authority professionals, including social work, education and health.

We have a comprehensive referral process in place that looks to match children and young people to our services. For our main residential site and school we can consider children from upper primary ages through to the secondary stage.

Our community houses can also provide a service to primary school aged young people though to adulthood. Some of the children referred to our community houses attend local mainstream schools depending on the assessment of their needs. Attendance at our own specialised school is also considered for young people within our community houses.

Our robust assessment processes, led by our therapeutic team, ensure highly individualised care and education planning for each young person in our care.

We always welcome enquiries from local authorities, parents and carers to discuss the services we can offer, on both our main site and within our community houses.
